In this lesson Jeff takes a photo of an older woman and shows how to deal with mapping and laying in a challenging scenario. You may wonder if this is still quick sketch from the looks of the drawing but this will help show the efficiency of the techniques you are learning.
This exercise allows Jeff to delve deeper into the shadow mapping and calligraphy aspect of head quick sketches.

Again we will be exploring the 4 5 min. quick sketches arranged on a page in vignette fashion. Jeff will demonstrate 3 different models from various head angles and lighting.
This one hour drawing will help to understand how to navigate another drawing that is more linear in nature. Jeff will clearly demonstrate as he explains a bit about cross-contouring and working with and against the form, a technique we will thoroughly explore in Phase 4.
