Part 2 of 2
Part 2 of 2
This video will find me demonstrating how to approach a Rembrandt using the Warm/Cool palette.
Part 2 of 2
Join me as we venture into studying form Master painters how they execute their features. I will be tackling a Nicolai Fechin image of a 3/4 pair of female eyes using the Warm/Cool palette. Emphasis will be on broken color and dry-brush effects.
When beginning the final painting it is preferable to establish a simple but comprehensive block-in of the image using thin “stains”.
Once a strong design has been created, as an artist you now must fill that design with entertaining and dynamic imagery. Including characters, landscapes, and props.
Establishing a clear, dynamic color scheme can be daunting. In this lesson we will demonstrate how to break composing colors in to the simplest terms possible.
A quick breakdown on how to go about establishing a good foundational design for a strong, iconic image.
The last of the features from photo’s I will use the Warm/Cool palette to demonstrate this painting of an ear.
Using the Zorn Palette I will paint an ear emphasizing the various components and how to best navigate them.
In this lesson I will break from the photo’s and use a Cast of an ear. We will use the level one palette as we have been in the previous features.
